These people are known to pose as will writers and will ask for you by name. If you ask, they will tell you they bought your name and number on a list. They will ask you if you own the property. It is an illegal cold call. Tell them to go f**k themselves. Then give yourself a pat on the back and enjoy your day! :)

I called Barclays on 03457 345 345 only to be told this numbers has switched to 0345 600 45 40. I called this number and followed the exact same instructions that you would normally be asked only something didn't feel quite right about it. I called back the 03457 345 345 number which worked this this time and spoke to a gentleman on the Fraud team who advised me this was not one of their numbers and this was most definitely a fraud attempt. Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 16181485xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, insurance marketing, unsolicited telemarketing calls... Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
