Looked like the usual nuisasance call when I saw the number. I tried calling back but recieved a auto message saying the number was not in service!
NEVER call unknown numbers back. If you do so, you may be calling a Premium Rate or International number which will incur a very large charge on your bill.

These people handle "deceased accounts" on behalf of Eon in UK. (I suspect they buy the debt). They also seem very interested in probate matters - perhaps they gain extra business this way. However - was pleasant call (got my number from Eon - I am Mum s executor), and they were not chasing payment just establishing status.

Advice to anyone receiving sh*t like this: If you're really concerned it might be genuine, just phone your bank using the number on the back of your debit card. Then! The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account.
