Like the people above, person - a man on first occasion, woman second, couldn t understand what they were saying except they were going to refund PPI. Told them it sounded odd and if they give me a number I ll check it out and get back to them and they put the phone down. Second time I was told to lie about a loan I had not taken out to a different department. They knew my name and address. Not happy.

Keep getting calls from this company. Googled the number and saw it was telemarketing so I never answer

Several calls over the last few days (2 so far today). Never gets past the BT Call Guardian screening. Never leaves a message. I tried to call back, but heard a female American accent saying "That is not a valid extension". I have now blocked the number.

Called by tracy several times asked how I was, am I okay then said was I aware of the scrap-age scheme and then hung up. the number was 0161 476 8200 but unable to ring it back!

The person on the other end told me they were ringing to review my mortgage. When I told her I was uncomfortable discussing it over the phone, she got aggressive and rude. She told me my husband had requested a callback which I knew was a lie because he doesn t deal with this stuff over the net or phone!! when I said that he wouldn t have requested a callback she was really abusive and before she could hang up I told her how rude she was!! Fuming!

Stating they are the credit investigation department, a UK government department. When questioned further, the caller revealed they were an independent company doing promotional calls.

Apparently I ve been in a car accident that wasn t my fault... h e c k. The woman on the other end was an automated service, but a clever one - they record the woman speaking, then cut the recording to each answer/question ("hello it s emma", "My company is proficient helpline") so someone on the other end just has to play a soundboard, but it sounds like you re actually talking to a real person. Stay away from these lovely people! ! ! ! ! !

Indian lady started telling me I had a problem with Windows. I told her that she was unscrupulous and I considered that her actions were those of the scum of the planet. I blocked the number using my CPR Callblocker gadget (there are many alternatives). I pay for my phone, it s for me, what gives anyone other than me the right to use it to harass me? Gent. ("Spike" but sounded foreign) from Benefits UK said he wanted to ask some questions. I was expecting a call and needed to keep the line free. He hung up while I was politely explaining this, so I think the call is suspect!
