The usual ring, you answer then they cut off. Probably, almost certainly, scammers. I simply told them to depart in short jerky jumps. ;-)

This number rang to say there had been illegal activity on our internet line and it was going to be cut off. (We are not aware of anything like this).

"Transcom" were calling on behalf of ebay, apparently. They wanted my security details, which I didn t give them, and told them I would respond to their ebay messages, which, of course, they had never sent. They should be ashamed of themselves.

After many calls from this number, I have asked them to remove me from their database. If I hear from them again I shall blow a whistle down the phone!

I got a call from this number from an Indian claiming to be a software engineer from Microsoft. He claimed people were hacking into my computer while on Internet and wanted me to download some software to fix the problem. At the same time I was Googling for the scam and found plenty of details about the Supremo software he wanted me to install. When confronted he refused to admit that I was being scammed - so I asked him to send me an E-Mail from a reputable Microsoft address - which has not arrived,
