I've just received a cold call from someone that claimed to be from Nationwide. They had my name, and asked for my address and PASSWORD. If this was a genuine call it is an outrage that they asked for my password during an unsolicited cold call.
I have just received a phone call on my home phone from this number. a voice (American i think) informed me they were from Amazon and that my payment of £39.99 would be taken . If I wanted to stop payment I would have to press a number on my phione keypad. I disconnected immediately and looked up the number on Google and came to this site.

SCAM / SPAM The last two digits sre different but the rest of the number is the same. So I assume may be connected as could have numerous lines with a similar number just last two numbers different. This line should belong to some company, but no remark on internet about it. I had a few missed calls from this one, probably some call centre robocaller testing my number? I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. Haven't found any info for this one, does anyone have some experience with this number? Be aware if this number calls, it is for a shared costs, so better not to call back.

Answered the call the first time even though not fully convenient as 0161 looked legit. Was obviously a selling call but the caller wanted to be more insistent so I hung up. Two unanswered calls later checked this site which confirmed my suspicions. First time I have had O2 pass on data as far as I know but will complain to them on this one.
