Person with an Asian accent (after a delay) introducing himself as Peter Thompson purporting to be from BT claimed someone in America was using my IP address and accessing emails . Asked what devices I was using to access the internet. The scammer wasn t afraid to argue back aggressively when I told him in no uncertain terms I knew this was an attempt to hack in to the internet.

I thought this was a cold call. Not the case. It belongs to Gledhill boiler company, who were trying to contact me about an issue with my boiler. This is a Blackpool based company.

Had a call from this number but didn t get to the phone in time. They rang again 10 minutes later, it was my rheumatologist from Wycombe Hospital.
