It was a callback from a company that replaces carbon monoxide units. nI called the 0800 number that was written on the unit, left a voicemail. nThis is a safe number
Had a call from a Leeds number. They said they were from Asset Claim Ltd and gave me their address, which I looked up online and there is a Asset Claim Ltd..BUT...the guy had my name and address inc postcode and said I was getting some PPI back and asked for my date of birth. I said I was not giving out my personal details and he started to get slightly irate. I also said I would not be giving out any bank details and he said I'm not asking for bank details, I need your date of birth. He cut me off. SCAM!

They then managed to trigger the Amazon reset password text message and pressured me to give me that code to them, presumably so that they could take control of my Amazon account. this is from a oompany called know how. it insures household electrical goods. i had said i would give them feedback after i called the 0800 number but i forgot that my phone ringer was switched off. so thet is what they were ringing me for. feedback about the call and service i was using.

Text received from this number to say that a new payee request to a Mr C Jones through my HSBC mobile banking app. If this was not me to visit a website. Total scam as I do not have an HSBC account and do not use their banking app.
