Please stop saying this is a scam, it is NOT A SCAM. This is Nationwide's genuine calling number. They call early in the morning and late at night in order to catch people outside of work hours. If you actually think it's a scam, you ask them for their employee ID and their name, then you call your bank on their normal customer service number and you confirm the person's details PLUS the phone number they called from. Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1792917xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI claims (also reclaim money from holidays) / insurance marketing / energy schemes. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with the same or something new?
