Called twice today. First time line went dead when I picked up, second time I couldn't pick up because I was busy.
this number called me a few times not sure who it is dont leave message so probably ppi or accident claim
SCAM - Claimed it was the National Crime Agency looking into fraudulant activity on my NI number, with the threat that HMRC would block it. Have checked with HMRC. It is a scam. Am assuming the phone number was faked in some way, as it's surprisingly close to my own.
This number is from a bogus caller, they are utter complete rubbish.

SCAM / SPAM This must be a scammer as I had to go to voicemail to find out who it was and it is someone claiming to be from HMRC and asking me to press number keys for more information. This would most likely divert me to another number and leave me open to some kind of fraud. Number now blocked. If it really is HMRC they have my address and email address.

Followed up by wanting to download remote control access programmes on my laptop. I recieved text from this number - claimed to be a Royal Mail message saying they were holding a parcel for me that had a surcharge - it asked me to use a link to arrange delivery. I went to the Royal mail tracking website which said it did not recognise the tracking number they gave. The phone number does not seem to be a Royal Mail number. I concluded it is a scam.
