I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. they have called me twice on my mobile and on my landline claiming to be something to do with an accident claim on my car insurance but when i asked what car was this about both times put the phone down on me.
Yet another of those "I ve been informed that you ve been involved in a car accident that wasn t your fault. Is that right?" calls. Damned annoying.
