The clue is in the number. Apart from inner city London, when last I looked, all UK numbers begin with 01. Clive, Peter, Brian Stephen etc are NOT popular names in India as these people would have you believe. The bottom line is a simple one, if you don’t recognise the number, don’t answer. Tell me who just rings you and then nothing, no message left, and no info on internet... I recommend to block the number. Did someone answer this number?

It is the number WhatsApp uses for certification and it is also useful if you need to reinstall the app or change phone. It happens that someone try with a random number to install a second copy of the app on another device.
