Nasty stuff - phoning, i answer, they hang up!

Called twice within 30 minutes, same caller, claiming to be from two different companies. Pried for personal information. Obvious scammers of some kind. Blocked.

This caller Disguised number as local (01227) our area, no voice, suspect robo caller - a hang up call, we are a business I have to answer "local" numbers... incidentally I had a lady from "BT" call me yesterday and very calmly bullishly tell me they were upgrading our line to increase speed (I have nothing to with BT ever, not een a line, "Oh Great! I said we culd do with faster BB" and she asked for the email address, I asked if she had a pen, yes..., reasy? yes Foxtrot, Uniform, Charlie, Kilo, Oscar, F

A woman spoke but it was difficult to understand what she was saying.Something about a road accident I thought. When I asked who she was she put the phone down.

Exact same thing just happened to me. Although my name and number were correct,the address she said I had never heard of. All a bit odd.

I rang back and the company refused to accept my call on the basis that I withheld my number - obviously whoever it is has something to hide.

Got a call. Tried to answer but call was terminated.
nI called back but network message said that this was an incorrect number.
nIn other words: scam!!

I have had at least 5 calls from this number in 2 days with reference to a tax refund I am supposed to pick up from the post office ...... Foreign sounding caller who knew my name claims to be calling from London. I gave up at that point.

Hmm, Anonymous and Trainspotter, couldn't agree more. Well you have used MY often used words and phrases such as the call being from anywhere in the world or these telecomm...

I phoned them back and asked to be taken off the list...they hung up. I called back and again repeated my request..just got a curt thank you...at least it was thank you. So rude...

company called lifestyle - will ask you to do numerous surveys and dont like it when you say no thank you - very pushy and rude indian gentleman on the other end of the line - they use a few different numbers - DONT ANSWER THE PHONE - they will just keep calling

Got a call from this number stating it was from the National Crime Agency saying my National Insurance Number as been illegally used its a scam. same call from 07741465795

Got about 10 calls from this number in a matter of 5 mins, I did not answer as was working and it went to answerphone cut off and they repeatedly called again, tried to call it back in case it was to do with work but it would not connect

Repeated calls yesterday. Told to stop and then two calls so far today, one at 07:30.Said they were from the telephone preference service. What a joke!!
