Obvious call centre noise background noise as soon as I answered, with a delay before anyone responded. The caller had an extremely strong Asian/Indian accent and told me his name was Paul Simon (yeah, right!) calling from Norfolk County Council about a recent accident I d had. Have had 4 phone calls this morning. 3 went dead when picked up. 1 was answer machine message about subscription to amazon and asked me to press 1 to cancel and 2 to discuss options. I put the phone down. Has anyone else had these calls?

Persistent calls even after I told them I wasn t interested

Nusiance caller. Persistent calls even if asked to stop. They are in the wrong so we SHOULD be allowed to know who they are. Never mind all this data protection. Its a cover up to allow them to continue harrasing people.

This number called me 4 times in the space of half an hour, but I missed each call. I don't recognise the number.

My mother-in-law has just found a charge for ?99.99 on her Barclays statement. I ve just spoken to the bank and they have been 100% helpful and have agreed to refund her ASAP. When mum-in-law initialy went into the bank to query the transaction they told her that it was a holiday company and assisted her to call them. The company told her that they take the view that unless you specifically say otherwise they assume that you want thier services, even though the in-laws had no knowledge of the company. T

Person called Jack Wells called my elderly parents and tried to sell them a plug in box to stop unwanted phone calls. He had the correct details for them and their address! He asked for all bank details, sort code, acc. number and a password. Luckily they are not that stupid!!

This number is Amplicon, presumably their sales dept.

Ian from some unsolicited energy company telesales asking wanting to speak to the bill payer for the electricity supply. When told we were on the TPS register he kept himself on hold for a minute and said he had reported it to his manager. Well if they were a decent company they should be using the latest TPS register but obviously they are another scamming company flouting ALL the rules.
