Rang at 6.30pm - I didn t recognise number so let ansafone take it - they didn t leave a message. I checked on this site to see who they were, so when the same number rang again at 7.20pm I answered (to wind them up!). A very polite sounding chap with an Indian (or similar) accent explained that he was carrying out a survey for ???????? SCAM Did a return call using 141. Automated voice mail saying thankyou for calling back and using a compare website with options to press a number to be taken off the caller list. Very dangerous.

Scam National Insurance Scam saying NI number has been compromised. Automated message, no doubt wanting the victim of the call to press one to be connected to scammers. I put the phone down when I heard the message and cut off the call. Having seen resent warnings about this scam, I was already aware of it. Don't act on the call and hang up. Government bodies don't call people in this way. BEWARE. DANGEROUS.
Talking nonsense about fraud
Telemarketing front for apparently multiple companies; have introduced themselves differently on each occasion, over a number of weeks.
Caller called three times immediately after multiple calls from a source with caller id of Muslim Aid. I declined all calls so cannot say who they were.
Thanks to posts on here I can safely block this number... It might be genuine... still cold-calling, infringing on me & my time... and I don t need a hearing aid!

Text message saying "hi" and nothing else. Appeared to be trawling for responses.
This number was given to me by Visa Card Scammers, when I questioned the quality of the call. They asked for my bank sort code, (I gave them one that I knew from Coventry) Then in an effort to prove they were legit, proceeded to tell me where my bank was. This scam revolves around a supposed transaction from your bank card. Never tell these guys any real information.
