received this call from CarphoneWarehouse about my upcoming upgrade. companies have obviously found a way of making their calls "appear" to be a local call when in fact they are a call centre. I am in York and the call appeared to be a York number but I asked the caller where they were calling from and they were based in Loughborough.

Was advised to call this number by TESCO.Net in connection with an email problem & was told it was Microsoft technical support. Phone answers as Technical Support. They required access to my computer to check my email settings, started looking in other places, then told me I had trojans that would not be stopped by an anti-virus and tried to sell me 'protection' .
