A Jennifer Hood 0151 324 0046 said we would be given a cheque for ?2,170 by a David Austin 07937 423 246 who would come to our house. In return we had to get a ucash voucher for ?152 from our local newsagent to give him. Obviously a scam.
Number sent a text claiming my WhatsApp account was on hold. Had a link to a Web page that looks like WhatsApp wanting an online payment to release the account. Bogus!!!!

SCAM - DO NOT RESPOND This was a recorded message saying two potentially unauthorised payments had been made on my card - one of £300 and an international payment of £1,000 - followed by the option of approving the payments or speaking to someone about them. This sounded like a scam ( there was no mention of which bank the call was from), and so it turned out to be when I checked with the bank.
