Called saying my home insurance was up for renewal in a few weeks, I said I don t know what you re talking about (we don t have home insurance) so he repeated himself. I said sorry my partner deals with that and it wouldn t even be in my name. Obviously he realised I m not gonna be scammed so apologised and hung up.

I was called by 01131132840 today 15/12/14, Indian sounding lady, telling me she has been tracking my use an can see my Computer has various problems, virus etc and that she can help me, usual rubbish. knowing that she was going to try and access my PC to either download virus or steal my personal info I asked her sarcasticaly do u need to remotely access my computer?! She answered I m not saying that and immediately hung up on me!

No idea who this number is from. Not calling back just checked this site to try and understand if it's a legit number. Fed up with companies that fish business calling me for different reasons. Very very annoying indeed.

They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with O2 - offering mobile tarrifs, Gas and Electric bill, but also charity for deaf child fund raising - but in fact just another call centre...

Phones claiming to be "on behalf of Eon" and starts offering new contracts. Got suspicious when they couldn t get to my details given we already had a contract with EON so challenged him. Eventually he claimed to be calling from another company called Contactpoint. Wouldn t trust them.

Asian-sounding male, calling himself Mr. W., asking to speak to my brother. Asked if washing machine was alright. We recently had dishwasher repaired, so I thought call was genuine (insurers). Then asked if I was over 35. I said that was irrelevant. He persisted with question, becoming aggressive in tone. I persisted with my answer. When he asked for my postcode and name I hung up.

This has been going on for a year, Ive reported them, Im on TPS (which you can do for mobiles) but they bypass that by constantly changing the name that apprears on their texts. Ive called them, but as I dont have an account (and NEVER WILL), they apparently can t take me off their cold call list. Utter bulls**t. Avoid at all costs.

Got a call from this number telling me I had to register my electricity meter. When I asked why, I was told it was because I had recently moved in. Again, I asked why I should need to register my meter and at this point the caller just hung up. Sounds very much like a scam of some sort.
