0800 161 5204 This is NOT a Barclays number at all! They phoned me and asked for my dob... I said the year only. To which the caller became very irate and asked for further info, I put the phone down and actually phoned Barclays customer service who confirmed this number does not belong to any barclaycard department! Be aware, they are scammers!

It is the number WhatsApp uses for certification and it is also useful if you need to reinstall the app or change phone. It happens that someone try with a random number to install a second copy of the app on another device. This causes a call from +441616961154 that obviously seems strange for the unsuspecting owner of that number. There are even websites dedicated to this! I never answer any calls from numbers unknown. They are always unwanted! Just wait until it stops ringing and then block from future calls. (This also hopefully tells the caller that your number is not operational.)

I received a call from this number - merely answered it and put it down as soon as I got the recorded ppi message. It then appeared on my bill as a 28 minute phone call TO this number (during which time the bill also shows I made another call!!) costing over £11. Vodafone promised to reimburse but haven t. Grrr!!!

This is the latest in a long line of nuisance calls, which started off a few months ago with a scam from California USA. I am patiently working my way through by doing a Call Barred On the Last Number. Be careful as you won't want to bar the number of a relative/friend who doesn't ring very often!

Dean from The Digital Team asked for me by name and said it was in relation to insurance for our Sky equipment and mentioned the password (which was one I ve used in the past).
