Fraud This number is scam calling pretending to be HMRC and extorting people and making threats. It asks for you to press 1 and once you talk to someone they keep pretending they are HMRC.... Said I was going to call the police and they hung up.

Spam call, claiming to be from BT and saying hackers have got into your computer but BT will help you to sort it out. If you say you're not with BT, that doesn't bother them as they just say BT is the overall company and they're just protecting you. 'Annie' hung up when I insisted she was a scammer.

Silent call. Received a call from (07458 148209) on my mobile, although very few people know my mobile number. When I managed to answer there was nothing to be heard from the caller's end so I assumed it was some dodgy scammer. Illegally cold-called my TPS-registered number. Purported to be from a government sponsored energy efficiency company, wanting to confirm the address and discuss loft insulation.
Call from sky (obviously it wasn t them) telling me I was using a Sky Dish, asking my age etc and then hung up - Odd seeing as Sky is in my partners name and not mine. Obvious phishing expedition.
