Had a call from this number purporting to be an energy supplier. Hung up and then Googled the number and saw this site, as well as the site below on the search results from a news article stating to get a refund on a cancelled cruise to contact ABTA on this number. Something obviously isn't right with it, so blocked it and advise anyone else to do the same.

I believe this number is being used by scam callers. I received a text inviting me to call back, purporting to be from HSBC about a potential fraudulent payment. I would suggest that any recipient ignores any calls or texts from this number. Since it is a premium number any return calls will be outside normal free call packages. HSBC always use free call numbers if they request someone to call back.

These people keep phoning claiming they are the support for my internet providers. How do I get rid of them? I ask them which IP since I have 3, one of which is a bank, and I have 3 modems in my house. That normally makes them swear at me and hang up. The other method is to ask them which IP they are calling about, and when they say one, true or not, I say that the account is set up with a security word and they must confirm that before I can talk to them. They swear and hang up. They are always from India,

Fraud Called me at 8am and a robotic voice asked me to press one to be connected to an HMRC operative or else I would be arrested imminently. HMRC apparently do not ring up using automated voice technology, do not phone up to threaten arrest and are generally not phoning people unannounced at that time of day.

Everything looks real except for the part that is asking me £2.10 for redelivery. The postoffice never ask money to redeliver a package. Man with Indian accent asked for me by name, claiming to be calling in relation to DNS mail server problems. Asked if my computer has been running slowly or with issues and then asked if I was happy for him to go ahead with fixing it. I am ex-directory and TPS registered etc so asked how he got my details which he then claimed he got from my ISP. Clearly that wouldn t happen due to data protection so I asked for his company name and contact details so I could call them later. He said i could check them out
