Said he was calling from the city and wanted to make sure I was covered when the recession hits. I am surprised I allowed him to divulge this bunch of cow droppings as I usually hang up before the end of the sentence :-)
A woman called Lauren called at 8.30 am to say that a lot of households in our neighbourhood had been receiving unwanted and nuisance calls. I asked if she was one of them and she said that her company, DDC (D Delta Complaints – or having looked at other comments, maybe it was Data Compliance) was going to put us on a more restrictive and safer system to block the fraudsters. I asked for her number and she said 0292 000 8716 but when I did 1471 it was 0208 312 0993.

Fraud: Pretends to be from HSBC Bank sending a text that someone has been authorised to receive a payment from your account. However HSBC Bank (if you have an account with them) don't give out their numbers when they call or text their customers. Also HSBC don't use this form of security check ( text warnings to set up a new payment from your a/c). The objective is probably to defraud you of your money by gaining access to your bank account - or to use the link in the message to instigate a virus infection.
SCAM someone called from that number and told me I won a Morrison's voucher and some lottery tickets, and needed my card number for the following week when I refused she hung up
Also, I just tried phoning the number back and it doesn't even exist - so somehow the scammer is making out that they are phoning from a local number to look more legit.

How the hell are these scum still calling me market telesales crap calls off Scottish Power have been calling for 3days & up to 15-20 times per day it s now 20:45pm & they are still calling regardless of the fact i have screamed NOT INTERESTED several times. The woman calling from this number presents a very convincing, elaborate payment SCAM and claims to be a Lawyer in the United Kingdom, representing a "President of a large Italian company." The name or pseudonym used of the so called lawyer is Vikki McKay.
This number keeps calling me to ask for a previous owner. Every time they call they say they have never called before. I have asked to be removed from their list but they refuse and their call operators are very rude. Has anyone else had a similar thing from this number and do you know which company they are from?
