Apparently I ve been involved in a car accident that wasn t my fault, which is news to me. So naturally I decided to wind them up and be overly dramatic without ever answering a question properly. It worked like a treat and they hung up.

It is NOT 02 it is Phones 4 U calling as you are near/or due an upgrade. Email Phones 4 U and ask to be removed from the marketing database - this worked for me.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. It showed as an International call, but a number appeared and I also dialed 1471 to confirm this number, which seems to have a number of people in the Tamworth area with this number. Have put it on my junk calls list.

This number has bombarded me with calls for 2 days now - they are trying to get people to switch gas and electricity companies. When I asked them to remove my number they got aggressive. BLOCKED!
