Answered a call from this number - they asked for some name, no-one that lives here anyway. Said they must have the wrong number and they went on to ask if I was the homeowner of some address or other (again wrong) at which point I said they had the wrong information and hung up. What makes it suspicious is that I could hear in the background on their end other people using the 'Are you the homeowner' line. Wish I hadn't answered now in case they are checking for valid phone numbers or something.

I had received a voicemail stating they were from the inland revenue and that I needed to phone them back before they took legal action, I did so.... They stated that they had 607 pounds to reimburse in tax back to my bank account and that if I hung up they would freeze all outgoings to and from my account I told them bollocks and that I was going to report the number... Not quite sure what they are on with but don't fall for it.
