Received a call from an unknown telephone number at 09 42 I was informed that a large amount of money had been taken from my current bank account and they wanted to know my security code etc . I didn't give them any information despite their pressure. The number that rang me was the following 01722741109. I felt it was possibly a scam caller . Can you advise

SImilar number to other scam calls had recently where they say they are an energy company-capitlising on the recent news. Said he was an energy something in my area. Yeah right. Like Bournemouth is my area. Guy didnt even stutter when I answered the call as Sperm Bank. Said no thanks and hung up immediately. Blocked the number.

Today 12.11. 1.35pm have received a call from this number. Scottish Power guy start asking questions about who is my supplier for gas and energy and trying to persuade me to switch for saving money. The very noisy background at the other end and too many questions made me feel very suspicious. Hung up the phone and added the number to my blocked numbers list.

2 March 2021. Scam text ostensibly from Royal Mail. Message reads Royal Mail: Your parcel is awaiting delivery. Please pay the £1.99 settlement to avoid your parcel being returned to sender. https:// pay - royal mail . com ( no spaces). The Intent is to obtain your bank details.
