Tried a free app called call zapper today! I m sure there s loads similar ones available too! Answer silently (you have to be somewhere quiet!) then press home button and really quickly open the app then hit the FAX button and it plays the fax tone down the line to them! Let s see if it results in my number being deleted from their database! Give it a try and post up here how you get on!! PS It s not my app or anything (!) just sharing something I hope will work! JL
Apparently it s vanquis collections, I wouldn t mind if I had missed a payment of excess amounts but I missed £3.64! Not enough to warrant constant calls from this and other numbers that they use.

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. SCAM - phoned with recorded message about my NI being used fraudulently, then please hold for an officer.....then a foreign man answered said he is from the national fraud division...after me asking him a couple of pinpoint questions he hung up. Turns out the number is a vodafone mobile number.

I have had repeated call about 10 per day from the same number, 2 types of calls 1. as per above , that i owe money on credit cards 2. that the government has set up an scheme where they are freezing monthly interest payments on CC or store cards and if you have these cards you can just make a monthly payment to them instead . as i am a financial advisor i keep them talking for ages (appearing to be a bit non financial) after all it runs up their phone bill, then i wrap them in knots using my knowledge,

Caller claimed she was from BT and that other people were using my internet line. She wanted me to test something using my computer.
