Just had a call from this number, an asian lady called Kate Brown(???) who said that my IP address was being used by others around the world so they will be cancelling user licence on my IP address. The second option was they will talk me through how to block so I wont be compromised. Told her that I was computer illiterate and could she ring back later and speak to my hubby. Indian man who claimed I had been specially selected as a Carphone Warehouse customer to benefit from a special offer. I've never shopped at Carphone Warehouse, so knew it was a scam. When I confronted him with this he said he got my number from a database. I asked him what his mother thought of him working as a scam caller, at which point he hung up.

Had the very same thing on this number 016188182004. Indian accent from a call centre, passed on to "manager". Told them them I knew what they were up to and that they were ringing from India. Don t give them any information and put the phone down.
