Fraud Caller had a strong accent and spoke poor english. There was a lot of background noise as you would expect from a call centre. Asked to speak to my husband but did not mention his first name. Claimed to be from the Fraud dept of Visa Debit but did not say which bank had issued the card. She asked for no security checks. Spoke about unauthorised transaction. My husband passed the phone to me, once again, no security checks. I said I would have to call back & asked for number. She put the phon

SCAM They ring pretending that they have been involved in installing insulation in your loft and that there's a potential problem with it that they need someone to visit. It is all lies. Energy efficiency and insulation is a good thing, but this company is definitely a scam. They seem to be making use of standard recorded messages in response to your responses too, to make it sound like it is a human on the other end.

But I was right; this cretin is from Londonistan where 4 out of five residents are from foreign descent. I know of no one in London so why ring me if it s not to try and con money out of me. A recorded message threatening to cancel my national insurance number due to it being used in connection with “illegal activities”, and demanding that I press 1 to be connected to “an officer” to avoid being arrested. I ignored it, but the call could be very worrying to some people.

Claimed to be from Trojan Telecom and to be calling to reduce my company s telephone bill. Trojan does exist but I doubt if it knows anything about this call. I dialled 1471 and was given the above number followed by a "please hang up" message, suggesting the number may well be fictitious.
