Called twice today. Answered 2nd call - "Mike (Punjabi) Smith", from 'BT'. Foreign person using my IP address for illegal purposes - would need to disconnect my internet for 5 days. Told me to hit CTRL+R and Windows key and enter something. I played along (doing NOTHING on my laptop, but then asked him, "You say this is coming from my IP address - then you can tell me what it is!?". He gave me a random number from hos head, I guess. Purporting to be from HMRC, it was a recorded message. Telling me to press 1 and if I didn't respond I would be arrested. First call left a voicemail, second call I answered but as soon as I realised it was the same message I disconnected.

This is the 2nd time I have received a call from this number in the last 2 days telling me I have ordered something form Amazon...a phone for over £300 which I haven't. It is automated & even though I blocked then yesterday they seemed to have got through again today. No one speaks, just an automated message! Definitely think it's a scam!
Received a letter addressed to me at my work address from SKY with this phone number. Purports to want to refund me £23 on my SKY account. Have not had a SKY account in my name for many years (5+) after I cancelled it. Current SKY account (Again 5+ years) in my wife s name and paid by direct debit. Suspect this is SKY s debt collection department chasing money by illegal means (contacting me at work) that isn t due.
Continually calls my home phone 2-3 times a day. Called back when actually in at the time and demanded that I be taken off their call list.
