SCAM:Indian sounding man asked for me by name, had my address & post code. Asked where he had got this info., and that it was all total rubbish. He said that my washing machine warranty had run out. I told him he didn’t know what washing machine I have and I don’t have a warranty on it anyway. He then changed tack and tried flattery, saying that I had a lovely face. Called mid afternoon. There was around 5 secs silence and then they hung up.

SCAM Caller said they were from Carphone warehouse, but was very upshy.
Answered the phone but just silence on the other end.
Didn't recognise the number so didn't answer and that seems the right course of action given other comments

Was called whilst driving so did not pick up. Put the number in and saw this thread. Quite amusing when I saw who was ringing. Maybe they like to cause the accident? Thank you for your comments - I ve saved number under a rude name ha ha ha

I don t have any policies, this is a pest call. I had a call two days ago from a woman claiming to be from the MORI poll, tried to get me to sign up to EDF and give out information on what insurance policies I have. Suspect they are linked. Another one for the blocked number list!

It s an Umbrella Payroll Company for Contractors. I checked out their website as I m unhappy with my current one, and saw the missed call from them (this number), promptly followed by a text message. Googled the missed call number, saw the text 1min later and out 2+2 together.
