SCAM broadband scam call. Called once said they were from sky, called again saying they were from virgin etc claiming issue with our broadband etc.
SCAM/PHISHING? Foreign sounding man calling himself ‘Kevin’ from the ‘Post Code Lottery’ said that I had been picked to win a ‘gift card’ that would give me 40% off ANY supermarket shop. I said I hadn’t entered any competition, but he just carried on talking. He knew my name/surname, and asked my age. Refused to tell him. He was persistent & asked again. These people obtain, STEAL, your tel. number from your ip address via metadata. Ever come accross annoying adverts when browsing online which doesn t let you close? ie. Engadget, youtube etc... Mine was a survey which popped up whilst online and I had to wait 20secs inorder to dismiss that advert. Enduring the agonising 20 secs. And when u click any of those annoying adverts to go away it wont let you, however during that 20sec period what they do is they steal all your metadata incl. your ip address, pr
Con artists! I am signed up to TIPS and if this was a legitimate company they would be following the code of practice set up. They do not follow the law. they use a recorded voice, therefore they are criminals. Another number for the call blocker.

I have received five calls today (all to my answerphone). The numbers were initially from Mumbai and finally ended with 01825 371251. No messages were left and it is my guess ...
. The person who called me said she was from M$ and "your computer was sending errious....." at that point i polity said "you are a lying cucking custard and i wont let you into my computer" i think i managed to get as far as let you, when she hung up :) normaly i just kept them talking, as that means they waste their time and call cost and some one else avoids being rung for some time. but she caught me at a bad time. An eye lash has been anoying me all night and day, so i was in a no mercy mood.

DANGER ! Definitely Spam. Lady with Indian accent as O2 customer service telling me they had received multiple complaints about signal problem. I said I was satisfied with signal coverage. She then tried to give me a number to call back. I challenged her and told her I thought she not not legit. She started arguing. I said a real customer agent would not argue like that. Put down the phone.
Scam call purportedly from bank advising of fraudulent credit card transactions which they are blocking. The caller wants you to input a code which they text to you. DO NOT DO SO. If you do they will, no doubt, get access to your account. I put a block on the call number via my mobile phone provider and sent an email to the bank's security dept informing them of the scam.

number called but they hung up, I called back and a recorded message said they were Energy Savings Review calling about a government backed scheme for solar systems! the message also gave a number to call to be taken off the list 08452863555 i called, see if i get any more calls from them. they have called several times in the last few weeks.
These muppets have obviously completely ignore TPS and call anyone they want and no one at ICO seems to pay any attention.
