How, in this day and age, are these annoying, harassing numbers allowed to CONTINUALLY stalk us & bombard us with unwanted calls ??? I don t care if it s a legitimate survey or not ... they are stalking us !!!

Buy a CPR callblocker - stops them dead and they can't call again. It has a big red button for blocking calls and you can programme in over 1000 numbers.

Obtained my details inc address following a small car accident. Gave me some story about the other guy putting in a claim for whiplash and said I could also claim. I told them ( after a fair few discussions) that I simply had no claim to make whatsoever. When I was put through to a "Senior Claims Manager" I told him the same. I subscribe to The Economist, and renewed my subscription very late this year, a few days after the expiry. I finally picked up this call after several days and they said they wanted to know if I would renew my Economist subscription. I said that I already had, and they said "Oh, let me check my new system. Oh yes, you have, that s ok then." and that was all. A little odd, but seems like the Economist gives them the opportunity to salvage some lapsed subscriptions.
