Had a call from a foreign sounding gentleman claiming to be from North Yorkshire County Council asking about an accident that I may have had. As a local Parish Councillor I know...

Received a call, foreign voice said ringing about accident I d had. They managed to get my name, address and accident details and sent me an email which they wanted me to open and click on the attachment to provide authority for them to send out documents for me to claim compensation. I told them I didn t need to claim compensation as only very minor whip lash, however they were very insistent saying that didn t matter and I was entitled to £3000 compensation. Called looking for someone who had my phone number before me.

Claimed to be from the Citizen s Advice Bureau and wanted to help with a supposed debt collection- who would never call people. They knew my name which is concerning. Indian call centre - This is a scam and needs to be stopped!

Completely fed up with these calls, why they keep calling because I never answer, if they are calling regarding PPI, am not likely to be in for a refund, as I have never borrowed money in my life can t afford it do without.
