These lowlifes keep harassing my 86-year-old mum - who is registered with the TPS by the way. I ve already blocked them twice, but they just pop up on a new number. Had random calls from this number last year, some lasted over 100hr but I didn't get a phone cal or anything. 243hrs was the longest one. Probably a scammer trying to listen to conversations etc
my phone says is a called from Bristol… I didn't answer bit it sounds like the typical call about having been missold PPI or car accident.
Never anyone there when answered. Happens several times a week.
As stated by Max above - The caller said he was calling from British Gas and said they have had technical issues and they need my electricity meter numbers. I work in the energy industry and I am aware they can access this via the national electricity database (ECOES) - as my supplier they are fully entitled to use this. I challenged him and he continued to give excuses. I then terminated the call.
Automated message supposedly from HMRC saying the call is to inform me the inland revenue are filing a case against me and to return the call to discuss. Didn t return call as this is totally without foundation.

This number is one of a number of similar numbers calling one of our staff with a recorded message claiming to wnat to sell PPI , loans and claiming to be linked to Nat West No person ever actually speaks and th UK rules on this type of thing. I suspect this number has been hijacked by a untrustworthy marketing organisation abroad

Repeated calls from this same company with an automatic voice message saying it is a "government awareness call" and asking me to press 5 for an information pack or 9 to opt out. Pressing 5 takes me through to someone who hangs up on me immediately when I start asking about his company or asking for my number to be removed from their database.
This number calls me at least two times a day. Whenever I pick it up, there s no one talking on the other side. Very annoying!
Received a text message unexpectedly from this unknown number purporting to be from HSBC and saying that a payment had been attempted from an unknown device. I don't have an account with HSBC so possible scam/phishing attempt? Whole message as follows: "HSBC: A payment was attempted from a new device. I have nothing to do with foreign markets, customers or suppliers, so I never answer calls from the UK (+44 prefix). They call several times a day, never leaving an email/Skype message. The number kept being "busy" when at first I tried to call back. Now I m just ignoring it.

Calling to confirm the delivery but tried to get into Domestic and General insurance cover without outright stating first off to ask if Insurance is required. Very polite and confirmed that I would NOT be signed up to an insurance plan.
