SCAM Automated voice message saying I have been a victim of tax fraud and had to press 1 to connect the call through to HMRC otherwise the fraud would be registered in my name and I would be arrested soon!! Luckily I am not gullible but I'm sure this would trick a lot of less suspicious people.

Called twice today. Answered 2nd call - "Mike (Punjabi) Smith", from 'BT'. Foreign person using my IP address for illegal purposes - would need to disconnect my internet for 5 days. Told me to hit CTRL+R and Windows key and enter something. Claimed to be from Virgin Media about an internet connection. Worrying signs, firstly did not have my name as a contact or any reason to indicate I have an Virgin account. Also they are using a local number, for a very small area, which to my knowledge does not have a Virgin office.

I agree with other comments. They had my name and address (when they should not have). I was stupid enough to confirm this. they ask you do you have a car, make/brand of car, and other products you may own. and some other lifestyle choice questions. I started saying "no comment" to every question and 5 questions later they hung up on me.
