SCAM - Missed the call and dialled back. Automated message confirms company name as Equifirst. Further investigation seems to suggest it is a scam online investment racket. There is a legitimate company with the same name selling horse feed, but they are not located in the UK nor have an 020 number. Avoid!
Indian call centre, very noisy background, said he was calling from Currys and was offering 40% off something but I didn't hold on long enough to find out what.

It is a sapm. I got a text today asking me to re-schedule item delivery. As I did not buy the item, I safely ignored the message.
The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. Had a voicemail from this no. (very scripted). Northern Gas & Power trying to sell energy. I don't think it's a scam (and if legit their reviews on trustpilot seem reasonable). That said it was an unsolicited sales call, and I don't look after the gas and electricity anyway!
Asked me if I was having maintenance work at my residency and hang up!

Strongly suspect this is a scammer phone because (a) we don't believe EE employs phone sales people who cannot speak clearly in English, and (b) it's a new unsearched, unreported number, so unlikely to be EE.
