SCAM. Automated message claiming to be HMRC. Saying they had detected tax fraud in my name, but not mentioning my name, and that I had to press 1 or... at which point I hung up. I would expect if the HMRC were to call me they would ask for me by name.

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. These people have called my home several times a day while I have been out at work and keep on calling through the evening. The one time I was home and answered they hung up.

Scam National Insurance Scam saying NI number has been compromised. Automated message, no doubt wanting the victim of the call to press one to be connected to scammers. I put the phone down when I heard the message and cut off the call. Having seen resent warnings about this scam, I was already aware of it. Don't act on the call and hang up. Government bodies don't call people in this way. BEWARE. DANGEROUS.

This number connects to a company claiming to be HMRC but you cannot call this number it will call u and connect. They will say you have outstanding tax due and try and get a payment from you over the phone.. they will even send emails with fake letters from the revenue to back there case. These are scammers.....

Unsolicited call - needs reporting! Reportedly "Nat West Branch Survey" - apparently in response to using local branch recently!!! I m ex-directory and registered with TPS. I also DON T have an account with Nat West - so have not used any of their branches !!!! - Annoyingly this call hijacked my phone s answer-machine and the call wouldn t disconnect until I held down all phone keys for 5 seconds!!! Just called my mobile. I didn t answer but checked the number online 01225 282329 to see who they were. Found this website and comments. Called them from a landline, immediately explained to person who answered that I d received a missed call, that I d checked them up online and didn t want any further calls, and to remove my mobile number from their calling list. The man who answered was responsive immediately, polite and asked for my mobile number. Fingers crossed ....
