I also got scammed paid 254 and the date got cancelled. I have emailed nicky frequently and had no response and when I called they told me I will not get a refund and I could call trading standards as il nowhere. Have reported them but bank cannot trace money as it was a direct transfer. I have attempted to contact the kylefiles because he investigates rogue traders. Called with a thick asian accent claiming to be Janet from Virgin and calling about an issue with the router. They asked me to tell them the colour on the router and then input a web address. I guessed immediately that this was a scam but decided to lead them on a little. After a couple of minutes 'Janet' realised that I knew this was a scam and launched into a tirade of verbal abuse swearing and threatening to come and stab me before then hanging up!

These people obtain, STEAL, your tel. number from your ip address via metadata. Ever come accross annoying adverts when browsing online which doesn t let you close? ie. Engadget, youtube etc... SCAM Call started with a oversees transaction of 600 pound has been attempted was this you giving you the option of saying yes or no. I stated no and was placed to a oversees call centre claiming to be from the Halifax. I stopped the call and told him I will call Halifax direct. He started to say no I am with the Halifax and I ended the call. After contacting Halifax I was told to block the number as it is indeed a scam call. Good luck out there all.
Tried a free app called call zapper today! I m sure there s loads similar ones available too! Answer silently (you have to be somewhere quiet!) then press home button and really quickly open the app then hit the FAX button and it plays the fax tone down the line to them! Let s see if it results in my number being deleted from their database! Give it a try and post up here how you get on!! PS It s not my app or anything (!) just sharing something I hope will work! JL
