This is apparently a genuine number for FedEx but it's been hi-jacked by a 'BT' scammer using a recorded message saying they've monitored suspicious activity. I cut the call then tried to dial 1471 but the line was still engaged and I had to try a couple more times before it cleared.

Industrial Hearing Clinic: Their records (allegedly from the Industrial Society)show that I worked in a factory for more than 5 years & as my employer didn t provide ear protectors, I m entitled to compensation. I said that I d asked previous callers to remove my name from their list. When asked why I didn t want to claim my entitlement, I said I didn t need to. Q"Why not? Any annoying woman from Compare My Policy based in Manchester keeps calling to sell policies that I have never asked for nor am I interested in. She is rude and disrespectully informal considering they want to win my business. She then get's offended when I express my anger that they are calling yet again and blow them off.
