An Indian sounding gentleman on a very bad line, claimed to be calling me from Currys PCWorld with a promotion to upgrade my cellphone (his term) for no charge, could I just confirm what phone I currently had? As I do not have a mobile contract through Currys PCWorld I knew this was a scam call and hung up.

WARNING: 01542832293, supposedly from SKY telephones with a refund of £202 for being over charged in previous months. We don't have any SKY account. Accent was so thick I could barely understand anything he said, but he wanted my details. I said I was not giving any details over the phone to someone that I did not know and wanted someone to talk to me as clearly as I was talking to him. I waited, the line was open, and he hung up. DO NOT GIVE PERSONAL DETAILS OVER THE PHONE.

SCAM Automated message said it was Inland Revenue and that I hadn't paid my taxes. To avoid a court date and possible jail time press 1 to speak to an agent. A trace says the number originates in Russia. No chance I believe any of that rubbish.
Guy with foreign accent talking about having to change my meter!! Had an agressive tone when questioned about exactly who he represented. Beware, this is some kind of fraud or scam.
Called about a motorcycle accident only 6 days ago (about which I'd only spoken to insurance company) - their info was several days old and when I asked who they were and why they were contacting me they asked why I was being rude and then hung up! - all the signs of a dodgy '3rd party claims vulture' if you ask me!!

Not sure tried to call it back and its saying they are but I did call the acutal British Passport office and they have told me that this number is FRAUD! so do not give any information of yours! to 02038597401 this is a fraudulent number. I don’t answer unknown numbers so I don’t know who this is. However, I did block a similar number a few days ago when I was expecting a call from a doctor and accidentally answered an unknown number. It sounded like a young-ish black man and I told him I wasn’t interested in what he was selling. Then I blocked the number. This is a very similar number.
