I blocked this number after reading on a number of sites that they are a market research company. Don t believe their story that they do not have to comply with data screening /TPS lists etc. I do not think that their excuse we are not a marketing/sales company should excuse these people from TPS lists and private numbers They are unsolicited / cold callers. SCAM. Got an automated message claiming to be from HMRC and said that I have a tax fraud case against me and if I don't press 1 to talk to the taxman, I will get arrested. Sounds like a scam to me.

Said they were from American Express, only asked for half my postcode and they knew the type of card I held and how long I have had it. Claimed to be BT (or rather, "BT's outbound team, working for BT", rang my landline but also knew my mobile as they had a PIN sent to it. I said it was a scam and hung up.

Spam callers Called twice within minutes of the other call being ended. Trying to sell landline telephone services.
SCAM Had these people phone me up on another number pretending to be the national crime agency, using an automated message. When rumbled and blocked they tried again using this number to pretend to be an insurance broker, again using the same tactics with an automated message which made it obvious that it was the same people. Do not trust, just block them.
