I recieved a call from a company introducing themselves as Energy Helpline and stated that they were looking to help me out on my Home Phone and Broadband bills. They convinced me to switch to another provider and that I had to pay an amount upfront for an activation fee? Is this normal? Then they stated they had a power cut as soon as I gave those details and they then had to ring me back? Sounds suspicious if you ask me, it has been an hour now. What is happening???

I answered, a man was on the other end, claimed to be a part of a pension plan scheme, I never paid to on, opted for one, nor did my previous employer contributed to one on my behalf, told the man this in answer to his questions, he thanked me for my time and said bye. That was it, but the fact it was unsolicited, made it seem like a scam.

Ring their phone: you ll find the voice message is by teenager who can barely read the script. The script is by someone who can t write - "If you have had A accident...". So if that s the effort and expense they re prepared to invest into making their first impression, imagine how diligent their customer service must be. Enough said.

What a load of rubbish

Had a call from a Wayne (over friendly in my opinion) about 4 items purchased prior to Christmas and asking if I d had to return any of the said items, then went on to talk about monthly payments and how I m now in control of what and when I pay. I told him two of the items had been paid for outright. All this information would be on my account, right?The call doesn t sit right with me so will be contacting the company about this call.

Had a call at 02:00 in the morning from this number. When I rang back it was a private line and the people at the other end didn't know anything about it - sounded genuine ...

Answered phone and electronic voice said ‘hello, if you have debts of more than’ - it was at this point I put the phone down. Dangerous call, avoid. I don’t even have any debt!

Keeps calling saying and when answered a pre-recorded message states that it is urgent for them to speak to me and I should ring a 0844 number asap.
