Except I have never given out my mobile number as it is only used as a emergency number for my elderly parents ( who don’t have internet connection) requested that the number is removed from their system. Probably building to a scam, claimed to be BT a UK telephone provider investigating illegal activity on my internet, when I inquired as to who might be doing illegal things the caller suggested probably foreigners! The call was made at 7am in the morning to a private number, land line and one only known to family members.

SCAM / SPAM usual thing. strong south Asian accented guy called 'paul' told me he was from EDF and clarified that they are my current supplier. then said due to covid they couldn't said engineers out to read meters. 1) I send readings in online. 2) every meter I have seen in the last 25 years is outside. covid becomes irrelevant in this case 3)I have never given reading over the phone. hang up

Called yesterday said they were calling about a car accident. They had my full name. WE DO NOT HAVE A CAR.
A man claimed he was from a company called "Speed" who rudely demand to know why I hadn t made a claim for the accident I d apparently been in. The last accident I d been involved in was a few years ago and upon hearing me start to explain this he hung up before I finished speaking. This is clearly a scam hoping to either get some personal details to allow them to commit identity fraud or to falsely extract money from me.

Facts International say they never make sales calls, which may be correct, but if they pass details on to sales organisations, those organisations are able to circumvent the law on TPS by saying you responded to a survey and expressed an interest in.. . Following such a survey by Facts International, I receive numerous sales calls on my home number despite TPS. I am now receiving calls from this number on my mobile and will not be responding...
