Tax office scam, claims warrant out for my arrest
Scammer claiming to be from HMRC saying there is a tax evasion/fraud case against you.
There was a recorded announcement of two misuses of my credit card (one of them Tesco). No mention of who was calling. A recorded announcement asked me to "press 2 and hold" to speak to customer service. A male voice with a strong foreign accent then asked me for my personal details. When asked what bank he was from the phone went dead.
SCAM Left a voicemail which starts halfway through a computer voice saying something about my number has been found ‘suspicious for a number of illegal activities’. ‘It’s very time sensitive and urgent that we hear back from you before we proceed further with suspension of your national insurance number, your assets and arrest you.
