I had the same experience as Dani. I d cut them off as they couldn t give me any details of our BT account when they said that our internet was about to be cut off. I phoned BT and they confirmed that our internet service was ok and the call was probably a scam. I have now blocked this number

Tried to call back and withheld my number, they either didn t answer or hung up without speaking. Wanted to see what they said. Guess they don t like private numbers.
Received an abandoned call on 22/03/2023. I called back and they immediately knew my name as they could see my number (despite it being withheld). After much persuasion on my part, they told me they were DIRECT AFFINITY EUROPE and had been given my details by a Hull motor dealer (D.M. Keith) to chase a 'lost sale'. But I had told D.M Keith that my number should never be passed to any third party!
Who tried to call me? Number unknown.

SImilar number to other scam calls had recently where they say they are an energy company-capitlising on the recent news. Said he was an energy something in my area. Yeah right. Like Bournemouth is my area. Guy didnt even stutter when I answered the call as Sperm Bank. Said no thanks and hung up immediately. Blocked the number.

Scam call from apparent electric complany. After telling them the "owner" is not in. He replies "can i say something. You have a nice voice. I want to hear it over and over again." WTF! I hung up there and then.
Indian sounding male with very broken English. After the fourth time of asking I finally managed to decipher that he said he was calling from BT Openreach. When I said 'OK I understand now' there was a long pause as if he didn't know what to say next. I could hear someone in the background also saying 'This is BT Openreach'. When I asked him what he was calling about he just kept repeating 'This is BT Openreach'. I asked him if he had lost his script......and he rang off.

Got a call from this number on my mobile. Said I d been in an accident. No I haven t. I reckon they just dial numbers at random. I say this because only my family know my mobile number and I won t give it out to ANYONE else. Standard Scammers voice message, saying your Amazon Prime account is to be cancelled and press 1 to speak to subscription manager to stop the cancellation. You get taken to the standard Indian Scammers call centre lol They will ask if you have a iPhone or Android Phone and a laptop of computer, as they want you to download software to your phone and/or computer. I said I had a Linux phone and they hung up lol
