Talk Talk are prohibited from contacting you while a transfer is going through, other than by letter. I think this is an iffy way round the rules. They don t use TT main 0800 telephone number. Scam call to ring another number that costs £2.50 a min !!!
I received a call from this number last night. When I answered they hung up. They have just tried to call me again. I didn t answer but then called the number back and was greeted by a recorded message with an American accent asking me not to hang up because my call is very important to them . No idea who or what this is, but i m certain it s not trustworthy!

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 16181485xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, insurance marketing, unsolicited telemarketing calls... Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
