Seemed to be lining up to sell me private health insurance
I ve been called by this number 2 afternoons running - I let the answer-phone pick up yesterday but no-one spoke. I picked up today and after a long silent pause I hung up as it sounded like an autodialler at work.
Company calling to offer finance, assend finance. Based in Scotland. They got my number because I did an insurance quote. Jokers.
Apparently this is the Energy Advice Team and I thought this company were just cold calling me. I soon realised that they were just responding to my application regarding an air source heat pump and solar pv panels on either Facebook or Instagram. They are actually a very friendly and knowledgeable company.

I was wary at first about giving details and voiced this but service advisor said if worried not legit to call number on the back of my card and will be put through to them (not pressured into giving any security info at all). I ran it past some URL checkers which didn't come up with anything reputable. The number came in as '+44' so is likely to be from the UK.

Appears to be a scam. Claimed it was the inland revenue and a warrant had been issued against me for tax fraud. Find this hard as I am a council employee on PAYE. I also live in Scotland where the tax powers are devovled

Caller said there was a problem with my computer. Asked him if he was same person making a similar call from a withheld number earlier today who used foul abusive language when I asked if he had heard of the telephone preference service. This time the caller rang off immediately.

Scum of the Earth. Scam call claiming that your internet is being cut off and trying to get you to press 1 on keypad. I work for that internet provider and can GUARANTEE you this is not genuine. I hope these people are found and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
