It seems to be the start of the open pest phone calls season - I haven t answered the phone for 3 years now and have a peaceful life - except for the phone ringing. Why does the government not make this constant harassment illegal? Freedom of speech is OK to a certain extent as we have seen in recent years religious pests but surely the recipient is entitled to a quite life.

Sent to Surrey Police at 1506 11 May 2014 This is not a complaint against the Police. I am complaining about telephone number 01274 792012 whom are harassing me. They telephoned yesterday 10 June 2014. The first two times I answered, silence then rings off. The third time an Asian answered stating an English Christian Name. I confirm that it s illegal. I believe they call from Asia because it is a financial call centre but they call when here is night! I don t use bad words because I don t want a ban, but they are criminal!

Hi I have gotten about 4 missed calls from +442890438150. If i answer it goes dead. My mobile rings about 3 times and then it goes. I trying to block my number on my mobile. I also live near the Limerick am with Metero and have contact a number of insurance companies including aviva, 123, chill and fbd.

The automated caller said my internet connection was being disconnected so I hung up without listening to any more. I have no internet problems

Claimed to be from "Alba Services", saying that "money has been allocated" for improving energy efficiency in homes. Told me that they got the phone number from a "homeowner database" but wouldn t give any further info. It must be a crap database as this is a newsagents shop.... Chancing scammers.
