AMAZON scam! Telling me that an order has been made in my name and £300 payment has been taken from my card!!! Press 1 to speak to an operator. I pressed 1, and told the guy I was confused to the message and he hung up. The phone code is my local town but the guy was Indian. DONT GIVE OUT YOUR CARD NUMBER TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE GUYS!!!!

Fake call pretending to be Amazon so that they can find out where you leave your parcels when not in & also check if you are home! I would be very wary!

SCAM Female operator trying to tell me the company she worked for controlled my broadband and that i could be getting a better rate. When i declined and requested she didn't call me again, she became very argumentative to the point she was shouting down the phone.

SCAM received several phone calls via WhatsApp demanding payment for providing a service befor anything would be done. Lady admitted was of German origin and was ringing from Bournemouth. Payment was to be via PayPal or Amazon gift cards only, on refusal became more aggressive.

Received a call from this number.. recorded message of woman’s voice saying it was from Bank security.. That my bank had a request from Amazon for £200+ and bank transfer for £700+ and to cancel press a digit. This number came up as 2 sets of numbers, one was a long number, and another this one I am reporting below it(that is what alerted me) when ringing. However when I hung up and looked at the number, just the 01224 857793 is showing?. It’s a scam.SCAM

Scam caller claiming to be from Virgin. The call was made by an official sounding call centre (the woman sounded Indian). She claimed that there has been suspicious activity from unknown IP addresses using my account and that it was being used for criminal activity and that she needed to help me protect my firewalls etc. I immediately became suspicious as I'd heard of such calls being made and told her that I'd call Virgin directly to resolve any issues. Called this morning. I do not know anyone in Leeds. Caller was a woman with an (Indian?) accent. Caller told me that I needed debt. A weird call, caller did not use my name, identify herself or tell me why I needed debt.

Unable to answer the original call a voice message was left to call this number back. The voice message did not state the company involved but required an anti-fraud check. This was a 'genuine' number, but the questions were probing and having given my contact number after questions to verify myself I was asked for the last 4 digits of that contact number already given, there were too many disconnected questions that could be joined up for other fraud. I terminated the call. Supposedly Barclaycard.

SCAM. I get two phone calls every day, and have done for a year. The number is different every time, but the organisation is the same. They appear to have a spoof number system that hides the actual number they call from.

Claims to be BT technical regarding illegal use of broadband band and a threat to disconnect. It’s not it fake. Also calls from other numbers in completely different locations.

Fraud - Claimed to be Tesco Bank and had some old information. Claimed attempts had been made to spend money and start a direct debit on my credit card. Asked them to call back later, meanwhile I called the bank and checked. All lies.
