I had my details sold by Car Phone Warehouse, after buying phones....... told ICO hope someone does something as in their terms and conditions there is wording relating to this, but no opt in or opt out..... it s just wrong, I pay for a service, a phone and then they sell my details on.... why .... never ever have I had such texts/ calls as I do now all within a day of purchasing something from their site...

What is this number ????

Typical car crash claim telesales person starting with the usual question: “I have been told that you were involved in a car crash. Is that right?” They are trying to make you speak about such accidents if any by asking such questions. So, hang up the phone and not waste your time.

Same as you all, thought the same thoughts tries the number and then searched it to double check and knew something wasn t adding up.

This was a recorded message to say illegal activity had been on my internet which would be cut off in 24 hours. I was to press 1 to speak to someone. Clearly an attempt to get into my computer so cut it off.

Called by Jack Wilson & told I ve not responded to computer warning alerts and troubleshooting. Please sit in front of my computer and it ll take 5 minutes to sort it out. I asked for his name and the company, he rushed in to telling me I have a problem . I ve not turned my PC on this morning. He didn t say what kind of operating system has a problem ie PC or Mac. All too pushy on the phone. The telephone number is not a central London, Hanover Square number. I don t trust it.

A scam number. Threatening tax evation and criminal case asking to press 1. Cut the call.

Had a liverpudlian girl called Lucy call me just from 01704222222, said she was calling from Alderley Assist, got the usual call centre spiel, had my name on file which I confirmed. I asked her what I could do for her and to cut to the chase as I was busy and got a mouthful of abuse being called and ugly [email protected] and other nice names. Timeshare platinum weeks. Out of date information quoted, probably from other organisations or companies. Seems to have a database out with data protection laws/ no protection from GDPR, and information shared or sold by others. Cold called without permission, TPS not checked and seems to use a mass computer calling system as have had lots of dead calls from same number.
