Called me today and after ascertaining I was the person she wanted to speak to, informed (yes! informed)me that I had worked in a noisy environment and they had been allocated a sum of money... I stopped listening, informed the caller that I was registered with TPS and no matter what excuse they could put forward, there is no way I would be doing business with any company which would deliberately ignore my wishes regarding cold calling.
This seems to be a fake GovUk tax office number.

Apparently, a recent survey has revealed that the insulation in our loft is illegal, and if we do not replace it, we will be fined by the Government. When asked how thesurvey was completed. Scam National Insurance Scam saying NI number has been compromised. Automated message, no doubt wanting the victim of the call to press one to be connected to scammers. I put the phone down when I heard the message and cut off the call. Having seen resent warnings about this scam, I was already aware of it. Don't act on the call and hang up. Government bodies don't call people in this way. BEWARE. DANGEROUS.
